Lay the Homos!
Back from staff retreat, tho' quite tired from the journey, we took the daylight opportunity to zoom straight down to Haven to take a look at the reno in progress :)
We were greeted by workers laying the homo tiles in the living area, we saw the workers who are doing the reno for us for the first time. It was an eyeopener for me to see the process of laying the tiles. hmm... it's hard work. mixing the sand and cement, making sure the positioning is accurate, the tiles are level...etc. Not to mention the heat and lack of ventilation. also relieved that my ID's workers are skilled workers. i've known of some who hires unskill foreign workers who don't really know what they're doing.
It's probably one of the rare times we can catch a glimpse of how the works are done, since they would have gone by the time we visit after work in future. Waited a while as ID makes his way down to meet us, discussed some details wrt hse etc. slightly saddened by the realisation that the kitchen's really rather small ...oh well, ought to be glad to even have a roof over our heads :)
Also saw that the electrical works are done :)
