Bright Lights District

Wow, walked along the bright lighting shops in Balestier for the first time! and i kept saying, "so many lights shops.. " i mean how would anyone know which shop to get lights from (aka cheap, nice and good quality)? and when u enter into the shop... the variety of lights is just .. overwhelming!
As it was already pretty late by the time we made our way to balestier, we walked around abit as we searched for the recommended shop. Finally found it. It was a small shop and it was overall a pleasant exprience... mm.. was a very 'educational' experience :)

The boss was very patient as he explained the different kinds of light bulbs, lights etc. we had time to think and choose ...(guess the hob/hood shopping was more hurried)
understood what were 'downlights', square ones, round ones, 18watts, 26 watts, single tubes, double tubes etc etc.. wa..
we took about 1.5hours in the shop!

We made an almost entire-haven's lights purchase... only left with hanging lights.. cos we were very tired by then, didnt know wat would suit and not alot of variety there :)
A pity that both of us weren't bargainers... afterall we bought from him almost the whole house's lights! well.. he did give a discount.. and threw in some small foc items for us.
After we left, he called hubby adn said he's giving us a table lamp (?!?)
*he's rather observant.. cos i mentioned that would be rather dim if i wish to read in the room*
Was deadbeat by the time we go back home!
