Physics 101: Cold materials can cause condensation of air
One thing we've learnt while hosting housewarming for our extended relatives, and that is NEVER to put ice on the kitchen sink and leaving it to melt, unless it's ok for condensation to form UNDER the sink...
Underneath our kitchen sink is where we put the rice bin, the detergent (detergent bag not sealed some more!), and other miscellaneous stuff... and what a horror story it was when we found that condensation under the sink caused all the stuff inside to be moist and wet... =(
In fact, the cabinet interior was so moist, until the door hinges actually rusted overnight! Can you beat that?!? haha...
Oh well, time to call the carpenter... =P
